Marisella Ouma has a diverse work experience. Marisella started their career as an Executive Director at Kenya Copyright Board, where they worked from September 2008 to September 2015. Marisella then served as Deputy Solicitor General at the Office of the Attorney General and Department of Justice from May 2017 to October 2018. Currently, they hold the position of Head of Legal at Central Bank of Kenya, starting in November 2018.
Marisella Ouma completed their education with a Bachelor of Laws (LLB) degree in Law from the University of Nairobi between 1990 and 1995. Later, they pursued a Master of Laws (LLM) degree in Intellectual Property Law from Stockholm University, spanning from 2000 to 2001. Finally, they obtained a Ph.D. degree in Law from Queen Mary University of London, completing their studies between 2004 and 2008.
