Thabo Makafane

Thabo Makafane is an experienced finance professional with an extensive background in banking and accounting, currently serving as a Senior Dealer in Open Market Operations at the Central Bank of Lesotho since November 2010. In this role, Thabo implements monetary policy and conducts government bond auctions, while also contributing to debt management strategies. Previously, Thabo held the position of Section Head for National Payment Systems Oversight, overseeing payment and settlement systems. Thabo's earlier experience includes roles as a Currency Accountant at the Central Bank of Lesotho and various accounting positions at Vodacom Lesotho. Thabo holds a Master's degree in Accounting and Finance and a Post Graduate Diploma in New Managers' Development from reputable institutions, further complemented by an MCom in Financial Accounting and a Bachelor of Commerce in Accounting.
