Amy Light has a diverse and extensive work history. Amy started their career at K&L Gates, where they worked as an Associate for two years, researching and drafting legal memoranda and preparing clients for testimony in securities enforcement cases. Amy then joined Summit Law Group as an Attorney, where they were a senior member of a contract and document review team in a high-profile antitrust case. Following this, Amy worked as the Associate Director of the Center for Professional Development at Seattle University School of Law, where they played a key role in implementing a comprehensive career development curriculum and significantly increased the success rate of the judicial clerkship application program. Amy then worked at Black Helterline LLP as an Associate, representing corporate and individual clients in litigation matters. Amy gained experience in the energy industry at Portland General Electric, where they held roles as a Supervisor in Transmission Contracts & OATT Administration and an Environmental Compliance Specialist. Most recently, Amy served as the Director of Compliance at Central City Concern.

Amy Light completed their education in multiple institutions throughout their career. In 1997, they earned a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in Government and American History from Cornell University. Amy furthered their education by attending the University of Michigan Law School from 1998 to 2001, where they obtained a Juris Doctor degree. Amy pursued further specialization in Project Management, earning a Graduate Certificate from Portland State University in 2017. In 2016, they attended the Utility Management Certificate Program at Willamette University, where they earned a Certificate in Utility Management.
