Director, High Intensity Mental Health Services at Central City Concern

Claire Beatus, LCSW, currently serves as the Director of High Intensity Mental Health Services at Central City Concern, where Claire has been employed since October 2016. Claire has extensive experience in various roles within mental health services, including Program Manager of Mental Health Outreach Services, Clinical Supervisor for Assertive Community Treatment (ACT), and Mental Health Counselor for ACT. Prior to this, Claire was a Clinical Social Work Intern at the Austin Police Department's Victim Services Crisis Unit and worked as a Graduate Research Assistant at the Texas Institute for Excellence in Mental Health. Additional roles include volunteer community representative at the HIV/AIDS & Aging Coalition, skills trainer at Cascadia Behavioral Healthcare, and crisis line advocate at Call to Safety. Claire holds a Master’s Degree in Social Work from The University of Texas at Austin and a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology and Gender Studies from Lewis & Clark College.
