Steve Diethelm is an experienced professional with a diverse background in engineering, electrical work, aircraft maintenance, and retail management. Currently serving as a Utility System Engineer at Central Contra Costa Sanitary District since August 2020, Steve has also worked as a Journeyman Wireman Electrician with IBEW 302 since May 2005, specializing in the installation and maintenance of electrical systems. In addition, Steve has been affiliated with The Patriots Jet Team Foundation since June 2010 as a Crew Chief and Media Production, responsible for ensuring aircraft safety and readiness. Prior experience includes serving as a Store Manager at Ooga Booga Inc from June 2000 to May 2005, focusing on customer service and operational management.

The Central Contra Costa Sanitary District (Central San) has been protecting public health and the environment by collecting and cleaning wastewater from the residents and businesses of central Contra Costa County since 1946. Whatever goes down their toilets and drains travels through our vast 1,500 miles of sewer system to our award winning treatment plant in Martinez, where we clean over 13 billion gallons of wastewater each year. Most of that water is safely cleaned and released into Suisun Bay. An additional 2 million gallons each day of recycled water is produced for landscape irrigation and industrial uses. Central San also operates a one of the most highly successful Household Hazardous Waste Collection Facilities in the nation and sponsors 13 pharmaceutical collection bins.
