Doug Krantz

Doug Krantz has a diverse work experience in various roles and organizations. Doug currently serves as a Choir Director at Central Greene School District, where they teach choir and theater tech at Waynesburg Central High School, as well as general music, choir, and career preparedness at Margaret Bell Miller Middle School. In 2021, they also worked as a Substitute Teacher at Charleroi Area School District and a Music Teacher at South Park Middle School. Previously, they were a Choir Director and Music Appreciation Teacher at Charleroi Area School District from February to June 2021.

Prior to their teaching positions, Doug worked in the corporate sector. Doug was a Major Incident Manager at Artech L.L.C. from September to December 2020, where they led major incident bridge calls and provided improvement recommendations for incident and problem management processes. Before that, they served as an Information Technology Help Desk Manager at Oxford Solutions Inc. from July to September 2020.

Doug also has extensive experience as a Major Incident Manager at Cognizant Technology Solutions from March 2015 to June 2020. Doug was responsible for the processes and procedures for the Major Incident Management team and successfully transformed the team into a fully-functioning unit. Additionally, they provided training for all members of the team.

From 2013 to 2015, Doug worked at CNO Financial Group, first as the Manager of IT Service Desk, where they managed the Help Desk Administrators and Lead Specialists, and later as the Lead Systems Administrator, where they supervised Help Desk Administrators and Analysts, as well as Systems Analysts for IT Deploy, Change, and Problem/Availability Management. Doug also revamped and extended process documentation for the IT Deploy process.

Prior to their time at CNO Financial Group, Doug served as the Service Desk Manager at First Merchants Corporation from August 2012 to March 2013, where they performed day-to-day Tier 1 Help Desk management functions and managed a transition project. Doug also established standard objective metrics and reporting.

In July and August 2012, Doug worked as a Contractor at Pinnacle Partners, Inc. These various experiences showcase their strong background in IT management, incident and problem management, and leadership roles.

Doug Krantz has a Bachelor of Arts degree in Music from Indiana State University, which they obtained from 1977 to 1981. Doug later pursued a Master of Music degree at Butler University from 1986 to 1987. In terms of additional certifications, Doug obtained various qualifications in the field of IT service management, including ITIL Version 4 Foundation, ITIL Practitioner's Certificate in Combined Availability, Capacity and IT Service Continuity Management, ITIL Version 3 Foundation, and ITIL Practitioner's Certificate in IT Service Management: Support and Restore. Doug also holds certifications in workplace security awareness, incident management systems, and an introduction to the incident command system. Furthermore, Doug possesses the Adult and Pediatric First Aid/CPR/AED certification and has completed an online bloodborne pathogens certification course. Doug recently obtained a Professional Educator Certificate in Education from the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania Department of Education in July 2021.
