Erica Shumaker is an Energy Resource Planner at Central Iowa Power Cooperative, responsible for updating energy forecasting projects, maintaining databases, and analyzing resource planning to ensure a cost-effective, clean, and safe power supply for Member-owners. Previously, Erica held multiple roles at Central College, including Calculus Grader, Supplemental Instructor for General Physics and Calculus 1, and Lab Teaching Assistant for introductory physics courses. Additional experience includes an internship with The American Energy Society, a fellowship at the University of Illinois at Chicago focused on sustainability and energy, and a research internship at Iowa State University involving 3-D printing technology. Erica earned a Bachelor of Arts in Physics from Central College and attended Bangor University in 2020.
