Central Jersey Legal Services
Central Jersey Legal Services is a nonprofit law firm that provides free legal help in civil matters to low-income residents of Mercer, Middlesex & Union Counties. CJLS ensures equal access to legal help for people who cannot afford it otherwise, when it’s needed to protect their livelihood, their health or their family. The quality of justice should not depend on how much money you have. CJLS attorneys and paralegals represent families at risk of losing their home, their health coverage or their government benefits. We help single parents to enforce support orders and survivors of domestic violence to secure orders of protection. We represent elderly victims of consumer fraud and tenants fighting for decent, safe living conditions. We are guided by the promise of our nation - Justice for All, not justice for those who can afford it.
