Emily Ryan

Emily Ryan is an experienced legal professional currently serving as the Legal Practice Manager and Senior Lawyer at Central Land Council since October 2023. Previous roles include Special Counsel at Mills Oakley, Principal Solicitor and A/Director (Secondment) at the NSW Crown Solicitor's Office, and multiple positions at the NSW Department of Planning and Environment, including Principal Legal Officer in Litigation and A/Director of Planning and Resources Litigation. Emily has also contributed as an Updating Author for environmental and planning law handbooks at Thomson Reuters Legal Australia. With a solid academic background, Emily is pursuing a Master of Environmental Science & Law at the University of Sydney, holding degrees including a Bachelor of Laws and a Bachelor of Contemporary Music. Emily has served in various academic roles at universities including the University of Technology Sydney, Australian Catholic University, and UNSW.
