Christine Carnes

Director, Online Instructional Support at Central Methodist University

Christine Carnes has extensive work experience in various roles and industries. Christine started their career as a Loan Secretary at First Dakota National Bank in 1992 and worked there until 1995. From 1996 to 2006, they served as the Ticket Office Manager at The Black Hills Playhouse. In 2000, Christine began working as an Adjunct Instructor at Metropolitan Community College and Dakota Wesleyan University, where they taught until 2007 and 2003, respectively. Christine also worked as a Business Manager at FGI International from 2007 to 2008. In 2009, Christine joined Missouri Valley College and Columbia College as an Adjunct Instructor, teaching until 2019. From 2013 to 2015, they worked as an Accounts Receivable Specialist at Heartland Medical Equipment. Since 2015, Christine has been employed at Central Methodist University, where they initially served as a Course Review Specialist and currently holds the position of Director of Online Instructional Support.

Christine Carnes holds a BA in Communication/Theatre from Central College, which they obtained from 1985 to 1989. Christine also has an MA in Speech Communication from the University of South Dakota, earned between 1995 and 1999. In 2020, Christine received a Certificate of Completion in Accessible Documents: Word, PowerPoint & Acrobat from WebAim. Christine also holds an Instructional Design Graduate Certificate in Educational, Instructional, and Curriculum Supervision from the University of Wisconsin-Stout, obtained in 2021. Additionally, Christine has obtained various certifications, including OLC Course Quality Review (OSCQR) Trainer from the Online Learning Consortium and Articulate Storyline Essential Training from LinkedIn, both acquired in 2021.
