Chad H. Waldron, Ph.D., currently serves as the Acting Department Chair and Associate Professor in the Department of Teacher and Special Education at Central Michigan University, while also holding the title of Marie Berrell Endowed Professor of Literacy and Director of The Literacy Center since June 2022. Previously, Chad was the Director of CAEP Accreditation and Associate Professor of Education with a focus on Literacy at the University of Michigan-Flint from July 2016 to May 2022. Additional experience includes roles as an Assistant Professor in Language and Literacy Education at Penn State Erie, The Behrend College, and as a Course Instructor at Michigan State University. Chad's career began with positions as an Elementary Reading Specialist and Educational Initiatives Coordinator. Academic qualifications include a Ph.D. in Curriculum, Instruction, and Teacher Education with a focus on Language and Literacy Studies from Michigan State University, a Master of Education in Reading/Reading Specialist from PennWest Edinboro, and a Bachelor of Science in Education from PennWest Edinboro.
