Wes Sohns currently serves as the Assistant Athletic Director for Sports Medicine - Football at Central Michigan University since August 2022. Previously, Wes held the position of Assistant Athletic Director for Sports Medicine at Eastern Washington University from August 2020 to August 2022. Wes's experience includes working as an Assistant Athletic Trainer for the XFL's Los Angeles Wildcats in early 2020 and serving as the Interim Director of Sports Medicine and Head Football Athletic Trainer at the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga from June 2018 to February 2020. Prior roles include Assistant Athletic Trainer - Football at Penn State University (June 2008 - June 2018) and Graduate Assistant at East Carolina University (June 2006 - June 2008). Wes also gained experience as a Summer Intern Athletic Trainer with the Green Bay Packers in 2004 and 2005. Educational qualifications include a Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology and Exercise Science - Athletic Training from Iowa State University and a Master of Science in Sport and Fitness Administration/Management from East Carolina University.
