Barbara Chaffee

Barbara Chaffee is the chief executive officer for Central Minnesota Jobs and Training Services, Inc. (CMJTS) and the executive director to the Central Minnesota Workforce Development Board and Central Minnesota Joint Powers Board, which serves 11 counties in Local Workforce Development Area 5, including Chisago, Isanti, McLeod, Meeker, Mille Lacs, Kanabec, Kandiyohi, Pine, Renville, Sherburne, Wright counties.

Chaffee received a bachelor’s degree from the University of Minnesota-Duluth, a Masters's Studies from the University of Minnesota-Twin Cities, and successfully completed the Minnesota Management Institute at the Carlson School of Business and the MMBA at the University of St. Thomas.

Chaffee is a member of the Minnesota Workforce Council Association, National Association of Workforce Boards, and the National Workforce Association, and also serves on the Gang of 8 state and local planning committees and Legislative Committee. Additionally, Chaffee is a Minnesota representative and past president of the Great Lakes Employment and Training Association (GLETA), which serves 10 states in the U.S. Department of Labor Division 5. She also serves on the Anoka-Ramsey Community and Technical College Advisory Board and served on the Ridgewater College Advisory Board.
