Jake Sharick

Director, Recruiting at Central Ohio Primary Care

Jake Sharick has a diverse work experience spanning several companies and roles. Jake started their career at The Ohio State University, where they were a student and Division I Athlete for the Men's Lacrosse Team from 2010 to 2014.

After completing their studies, Jake joined Nationwide Children's Hospital, where they worked as an Employment Specialist for a year before transitioning into the role of HR Recruiter I from 2015 to 2016. In 2016, they became a Research Recruiter, responsible for staffing grant-funded projects in the Research Institute. Jake then took on the role of HR Recruiter II from 2017 to 2018.

In 2018, Jake joined Central Ohio Primary Care (COPC) as a Senior Recruiter. Jake was later promoted to Recruiting Manager, where they oversaw recruitment operations for the organization's extensive network of primary care providers and administrative departments. In their role, they collaborated with leadership to develop talent acquisition strategies and support strategic growth initiatives. Currently, Jake serves as the Director of Recruiting at COPC, continuing their contributions to talent acquisition and organization-wide recruitment strategies.

Jake Sharick attended The Ohio State University from 2010 to 2014, where they obtained a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in Strategic Communications. Jake also holds additional certifications, including a Six Sigma Green Belt (CSSGB) from The Council for Six Sigma Certification (CSSC) and a Certified Internet Recruiter certification from The Recruiter Academy, obtained in 2023 and 2017, respectively.
