Data Scientist at Central Pacific Bank

Mirko Simunovic is an experienced professional with a background in data science and astronomy. Mirko currently works as a Data Scientist at Central Pacific Bank since January 2023. Prior to this, they worked as a Support Astronomer at the National Astronomical Observatory of Japan from May 2019 to December 2022. Before that, they served as a Science Fellow at the Gemini Observatory from November 2016 to April 2019.

Mirko Simunovic obtained a Doctor of Philosophy - PhD degree in Astrophysics from Heidelberg University from 2013 to 2016. During the same period, they also pursued a Doctor of Philosophy - PhD degree in Astrophysics at Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile. Mirko Simunovic also completed various online courses, including "Automate the Boring Stuff with Python Programming" from Udemy in October 2021, and "Data Science Professional Certificate" from IBM in August 2021. Mirko also completed several Coursera courses, including "Python Project for Data Science," "Machine Learning with Python," "Data Analysis with Python," "Data Visualization with Python," "Databases and SQL for Data Science," and "Python for Data Science and AI" between 2020 and 2021.
