Steve is a retired Associate Professor of Business, Kenai Peninsula College, College of Business & Public Policy, University of Alaska Anchorage (UAA). Steve earned a Bachelor of Business Administration in Finance and a Master of Business Administration, both from UAA.
His professional career focused on working and consulting in the non-profit sector. As Executive Director of the Alaska Behavioral Health Association, Steve led advocacy efforts in Washington DC and Juneau for providers of behavioral health services in Alaska. He was also CFO for a local home health care provider.
He has lived in Alaska for more than 50 years spending the last 27 years in Soldotna. During this time, he has volunteered in the community and spent six years on the Soldotna City Council. When not teaching, Steve enjoys spending time with his family, cooking, outdoor activities, and music. He produces and hosts a radio program on KDLL 91.9 FM, titled Blues Café.
Steve is the Vice President of the Board and a member of the Finance committee and Compensation committee.
