James E. Spann Jr.

James E. Spann Jr., MPS, currently serves as Brand Coordinator for Mecklenburg County, overseeing design team operations and ensuring project completion within defined constraints while maintaining brand consistency. With extensive experience in user experience design, Spann has held roles such as UX Design Lead, steering user-driven concepts and engaging interactions, and has taught UX/UI design courses as an adjunct faculty member at Central Piedmont Community College and as a UX instructor at New Jersey Institute of Technology. Previous positions include Lead Designer at GSK and various teaching roles, along with consulting for Artemis Factor. Spann holds a Master of Professional Studies in UX Design from Maryland Institute College of Art and a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Graphic Design from The Art Institutes.
