Dr. Muhammed Faisal Rahman is a seasoned electrical engineer with extensive experience in research, development, and project management. Currently serving as Scientist 'B' at Central Water and Power Research Station since July 2021, Dr. Rahman focuses on hydraulic, water, and power engineering, including the operation and maintenance of substations and solar power plants. Prior roles include working as an Accredited SPV Power Plant Inspector at ANERT and as a Senior Research Fellow at Central Power Research Institute, where research concentrated on high voltage engineering and machine learning applications. Earlier in the career, Dr. Rahman held positions as an Assistant Professor, Electrical Project Engineer, and Electrical Engineer. Academically, Dr. Rahman earned a PhD in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from Visvesvaraya Technological University and holds both a Master of Technology and a Bachelor of Technology in the same field.
