Rachael Hughes

Rachael Hughes is an experienced educator currently serving as a First Grade Teacher at Central Valley School District since August 2022. Prior to this role, Rachael worked as a Special Education Teacher at Ambridge Area School District, where responsibilities included providing K-2 learning and emotional support. Additional experience includes serving as a Restaurant Server at Vesuvio's Italian Restaurant and teaching special education to grades 3-5 during the COVID Compensatory Services Program at Chartiers Valley School District. Rachael began a career in education as a Student Teacher focused on Kindergarten and Third Grade Learning Support at Ambridge Area SD and has also held a position as a Special Education Instructional Aide at The Watson Institute. Rachael holds a Bachelor of Education in Special Education from Slippery Rock University of Pennsylvania and is pursuing a Master of Education as a Reading Specialist.
