Taricani Ellen is an Associate Teaching Professor and Senior Lecturer at Penn State University, with professional experience in teaching, committee service, student advising, research, and course development since 2000. Additionally, Taricani serves as a Senior Lecturer with the Centre County Government and held the position of Vice Chair for the Planning Commission for Ferguson Township, PA, focusing on development plan reviews from 2020 to 2024. Previously, Taricani was a board member and President of the American Communication Association from 2010 to 2013, where responsibilities included organizing an international conference. Taricani holds a PhD in Instructional Systems, a Master's degree in Geospatial Intelligence, and a Master's Certificate in Homeland Security, all from Penn State University.

Centre County Government

A fourth-class county created by an act of the State Legislature in 1800 and located in the exact geographic center of the state, Centre County’s key industries include tourism, retail, agriculture, electronics, chromatography, information technology, printing, and publishing, wood manufacturing, and education. The fifth largest PA County in geographic size, the county’s land area covers 1,110 square miles and is comprised of 35 municipalities.
