Vahe Vardanyan

Vahe Vardanyan, PhD, currently serves as the Scientific Director at the Centre de développement et de recherche en intelligence numérique (CDRIN) since October 2020, where responsibilities include defining the R&D strategy and managing a multidisciplinary team of researchers and engineers. Previously, Vardanyan held positions as an AI Research Scientist at Ubisoft La Forge, focusing on Computer Vision and deep learning projects, and as a Postdoctoral Researcher at Mila, collaborating on Climate Change AI initiatives with Prof. Yoshua Bengio. Vardanyan's background encompasses a variety of roles in game and application development, including positions at Valtech Canada and Behaviour Interactive, working with AR/VR technologies and game programming. Academic qualifications include a PhD in Physics with a focus on Nanotechnology from Université Laval and extensive training in Artificial Intelligence through postdoctoral research at the Université de Montréal and Mila.
