Derek Robertson is an accomplished research associate and lab manager at CHU Sainte-Justine Research Centre since July 2011, focusing on the molecular determinants influencing drug efficacy on G protein coupled receptors (GPCRs) and investigating epigenetic modifications in stem cell progression within the Division of Hematology and Oncology at Ste Justine Hospital. Prior experience includes freelance medical writing and editing from January 2010 to January 2020, postdoctoral fellow and lab manager roles at Université de Montréal from July 2009 to June 2011, where research centered on hypothalamic control of physiological processes, and a previous postdoctoral position studying the role of Phospholipase D in breast cancer at Université de Montréal. Early career experiences include research positions at Edinburgh University and coaching fencing at the Royal Commonwealth Pool Fencing Club. Derek Robertson holds a PhD in Biochemistry from The University of Edinburgh and a Technical Communication Certificate from Vancouver Island University.
