Sophia B.

Sophia B. began their work experience in 2017 as a Customer Service Representative at BMO Financial Group, where they provided banking services and offered advice on digital and self-serve options. Sophia also initiated referrals and supported operational activities. In 2018, they worked as an Intern and later as an Economic Development Consultant at CIDEP, focusing on foreign direct investment (FDI) and trade. In 2021, Sophia joined the Chambre de commerce du Montreal métropolitain as an Advisor, responsible for delivering the Trade Accelerator Program (TAP) and maintaining good relations with stakeholders. Currently, they are working at Investissement Québec as a Project Director, focusing on FDI in the UK, Ireland, and Nordic countries. Sophia'sresponsibilities include developing lead generation strategies, analyzing firmographic data, and implementing communication strategies to attract new international companies to Quebec.

Sophia B. obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in International Studies with a specialization in law and governance from Université de Montréal, where they attended from 2015 to 2019. In 2021, they completed a course on International Market Entry Strategies at The Forum for International Trade Training (FITT).
