Jeannie Morgan, PhD, is an experienced academic serving as an Assistant Professor in the Departments of First Nations Studies and Labour Studies at Simon Fraser University since January 2018. In this role, Jeannie Morgan has created and taught undergraduate courses focused on Canadian Aboriginal Policy, Indigenous women in Canada, and Indigenous Methodologies, also facilitating weekly seminars. In addition, Jeannie Morgan is a Faculty Affiliate at the Centre for Gender and Sexual Health Equity and has previously held positions as an Open Learning Instructor in Criminology at Thompson Rivers University, an Aboriginal Studies Sessional Lecturer at Langara College, and a Sociology instructor at several institutions. Jeannie Morgan's extensive teaching, research, and community outreach experience highlights a commitment to Indigenous studies and social equity. Educational qualifications include a PhD in Sociology from The University of British Columbia and an MA in Sociology from Simon Fraser University.
