Stefanie Machado is a skilled Engagement Specialist at Foundry, focusing on youth and caregiver engagement within the organization's research program since January 2024. As a Research Associate at the Centre for Gender and Sexual Health Equity since August 2018, Stefanie has contributed to both qualitative research and community engagement initiatives. Previous roles include Graduate Research Assistant at Simon Fraser University, where Stefanie collaborated on community-based social service planning for newcomers, and a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at Dalhousie University, leading knowledge exchange on the IRIS project. Stefanie has also supported qualitative research projects with various organizations, including the Canadian Centre for Policy Alternatives, and has held consultancy roles aimed at enhancing diversity in healthcare. Education includes a PhD in Health Services from Simon Fraser University, a Master of Public Health, and a Bachelor of Science in Health Promotion from Dalhousie University.
