Adel Al Jord has a diverse work experience in various research and teaching roles. In 2011, they had an internship at NYU Langone Medical Center. From 2012 to 2020, they worked as a University Teaching Assistant, Lecturer, and Scientific Mentor at Collège de France, Paris University, Ecole Normale Supérieure, and Paris-Saclay University. In 2012, they also started their Ph.D. research at École normale supérieure, which concluded in 2016. From 2016 to 2017, they worked as a Research Fellow at École normale supérieure. In 2017, they joined Collège de France as a Research Scientist, a role they held until 2023. In 2022, they briefly worked as an EMBO NEW VENTURE FELLOW at the University of Zurich. Starting from November 2023, they will be a Research Group Lead at the Centre for Genomic Regulation (CRG).
Adel Al Jord completed a PhD in Neurobiology and Neurosciences from Ecole normale supérieure and Pierre and Marie Curie University from 2012-2016. Prior to that, they obtained a Master's degree in Technology - Science - Health from Université Paris Cité from 2010-2012 and a Bachelor's degree in Biomedical Sciences, General from Université Paris Descartes from 2006-2010. Adel also studied French Language and Literature at Université Paris-Sorbonne in 2005 and earned an American Highschool Diploma from AMSI Dubai in the same year.
