Christopher Thornton is a seasoned professional in the field of international relations and humanitarian work, currently serving as a Special Advisor at the Centre for Humanitarian Dialogue since January 2019. Previously, Christopher held various roles within the same organization from September 2011 to December 2018, including Project Manager and Project Officer for North Africa, as well as Project Assistant for the Middle East. Prior experiences include a Programme Assistant position at DCAF and an internship with UNHCR. Christopher's academic credentials include a Doctor of Philosophy in International Relations from the University of Oxford, a Master's degree in International Affairs from The Graduate Institute of International and Development Studies, and a first-class MA (Hons) in History from The University of Edinburgh.
