Iona Jalijali

Iona Jalijali serves as the Country Representative and Project Manager at the Centre for Humanitarian Dialogue since December 2016. Previously, Iona worked as a Consultant for UNICEF, providing technical assistance for Child-Friendly Local Governance, and held the position of Director IV and Head of Secretariat at the Office of the Presidential Adviser on the Peace Process, where significant contributions were made to the Comprehensive Agreement on the Bangsamoro. Iona has legislative experience with Akbayan Partylist, focusing on health and peace process legislation, and has held roles in research and editorial capacities at El Nido Foundation and Bandillo ng Palawan Foundation, earning recognition for environmental reporting. Educational qualifications include a Juris Doctor from the University of the Philippines and a Bachelor of Science in Biology from Palawan State University.
