Jake (Jesse) Pry is a Senior Epidemiologist at the Centre for Infectious Disease Research in Zambia (CIDRZ) since May 2023, focusing on non-communicable disease risks among individuals living with HIV in Zambia and the region. Additionally, Jake serves as an Assistant Professor at the University of California, Davis, teaching epidemiology and conducting research in collaboration with CIDRZ. Prior experiences include senior epidemiologist roles at the California Department of Public Health, enhancing COVID-19 detection efforts, and at CIDRZ supporting the HIV care cascade. Jake also held positions as a postdoctoral research associate at Washington University School of Medicine, an epidemiologist in California counties, and a laboratory manager at Emory University. Educational qualifications include a PhD in Epidemiology from the University of California, Davis, an MPH in Epidemiology and Biostatistics from Texas A&M Health Science Center, and a BS in Biology with a focus on Genetics from Texas A&M University.
