Poonam Kumari S.

Poonam Kumari S. currently serves as the Technical Advisor to the Managing Director at the Centre for Railway Information Systems (CRIS) since November 2023, bringing extensive experience from the Ministry of Railways, Government of India, where responsibilities include roles as Officer-in-charge and Manager since August 2013, along with early experience as a Special Class Railway Apprentice. Previously, Poonam was the Editor for the Alumni Magazine of Indian Railway Officers from August 2014 to August 2017. Educational qualifications include a Master's degree from The University of Tokyo obtained between October 2021 and September 2023, a Special Class Railway Apprentice degree from the Indian Railway Institute of Mechanical and Electrical Engineering from 2013 to 2017, and a Bachelor of Engineering in Mechanical Engineering from Birla Institute of Technology, Mesra, during the same period. Additionally, Poonam pursued a Dual Degree in Computer Science & Engineering at IIT BHU, India, from 2011 to 2013.
