Bernd Schmitz

Bernd Schmitz has extensive experience in anesthesiology and critical care, currently serving as Medical Director of the Department for Critically Ill Patients at the Centre Hospitalier de Luxembourg since July 2003. Previous roles include managing the operating room and leading the anesthesia department. Prior to this, Bernd Schmitz held positions at Klinik für Anästhesiologie in Erlangen and contributed to research at the Max-Planck-Institut für Neurologische Forschung in Köln. Bernd Schmitz completed a Habilitation at FAU Erlangen-Nürnberg and is board certified in Anesthesiology and Intensive Care, with earlier medical education at Universität Bonn.
