Jean Hiquet

Jean Hiquet is a specialized forensic physician currently serving as the Chef de service for both the Unité Mobile Femmes Victimes de Violences and the Unité Médico-Judiciaire at the Centre Hospitalier de Pau since October 2018. Additionally, Jean Hiquet is a member of the board of directors at the Société Française de Médecine Légale et d'Expertises Médicales and acts as an expert judiciaire for the Cour d’appel de Pau and the Cour d’appel de Bordeaux. In collaboration with the Ministère de la Justice, Jean Hiquet participates in various working groups focused on domestic violence and victim support mechanisms. Jean Hiquet also contributes to the academic community as a lecturer at the Université de Pau et des Pays de l'Adour. With extensive experience at CHU de Bordeaux prior to current roles, Jean Hiquet holds multiple degrees, including a Docteur en médecine from Université de Poitiers and further qualifications in health law, forensic imaging, and medical expertise in bodily harm.
