Nathalie Marquet is a scientific researcher at the Centre of Marine Sciences (CCMAR) since December 2017, with a substantial background in marine biology research. Prior to this role, Nathalie served as a PhD researcher at Universidade do Algarve from March 2013 to November 2017, focusing on the reproductive cycle and chemical communication of sea cucumbers along the southern coast of Portugal using a multidisciplinary approach. Earlier experiences include research assistant positions at institutions such as the University of Azores and the Royal Belgian Institute of Natural Sciences, as well as teaching biology and chemistry at Athénée Royal d'Auderghem and Institut Reine Fabiola. Nathalie holds multiple degrees, including a Master’s in Marine Biodiversity and Conservation from Ghent University and a Master's in Biological Sciences from Université libre de Bruxelles.
