David Direnfeld

David Direnfeld has a diverse work experience in the field of psychology. David started as a Clinical Psychologist at the Centre for Cognitive Behaviour Therapy in 2005. In 2008, they became an Independent Medical Examiner at both Genex Services and Centric Health Corp. David also served as an Independent Medical Examiner at D&D Disability Management starting in 2011.

At McMaster University, they held several roles including Assistant Professor in the Department of Psychiatry and Behavioural Neurosciences from 2003 to 2005 and Clinical Psychologist at the Anxiety Disorders Clinic from 2002 to 2003.

David was also a Clinical Psychologist at CBT Associates and Oakville Centre for Cognitive Therapy from 2003 to 2005. David served as a Clinical Supervisor at the University of Waterloo from 2003 to 2004.

In their early career, they worked as a Graduate Research Assistant at Buffalo General Medical Center from 1997 to 2001. Prior to that, at the University at Buffalo, they served as a Staff Therapist in the Depression Research and Treatment Program from 1996 to 2001. David also worked as a Staff Therapist and Psychological Services Center Coordinator from 1996 to 1999.

David Direnfeld has a strong educational background in the field of psychology. David completed their Bachelor of Arts (B.A. - Spec. Hons.) degree in Psychology at York University from 1988 to 1992. Following this, they obtained their Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) degree in Clinical Psychology from the University at Buffalo, where they studied from 1995 to 2002. During their doctoral studies, David focused on clinical psychology. In 2001 and 2002, they also completed a Psychology Resident program at The University of British Columbia, further enhancing their expertise in clinical psychology. Furthermore, they hold the certification of Clinical Psychologist from The College of Psychologists of Ontario.
