Giles Howland is an experienced IT leader currently serving as the Head of EUC Engineering (Modern Workplace) at Centrica since July 2017, where responsibilities include building an EUC Engineering function focused on architecture and operations and implementing a shift left strategy for automation and modernization. Previously, as Head of Enterprise Platform Architecture, Giles led initiatives to enhance IT capabilities, streamline services, and improve customer satisfaction through the integration of foundational platforms, along with taking on the role of a trusted technical advisor. Prior to Centrica, Giles managed internal systems and infrastructure at Hive for British Gas, and held various IT support and management roles at Haymarket Publishing, GMH Computers, Sevenoaks Computers, Carbon Solutions, and Union PLC, contributing to significant improvements in IT service delivery and operational efficiency throughout a diverse career.
