Derek Dexter has a diverse range of work experience in the field of technology. Derek began their career as an IT Services Help Desk Intern at Burlington Electric Department in 2016, where they gained experience in configuring alert rules, completing operational tasks, and providing IT support. In 2017, Derek worked as an Engineering Intern at Sentaca, where they utilized C++ to develop a gas detection system that interfaced with a cloud database and created a user-friendly dashboard. Currently, Derek is employed as a Senior Technical Support Engineer at Centripetal Networks since 2018, where they provide technical support for CleanINTERNET Intelligence-led Network Protection. Derek remotely installs and updates products for customers and also handles desktop support for internal users.

Derek Dexter attended Landmark School from 2009 to 2012, where they did not pursue any specific degree or field of study. Derek then enrolled at Northern Essex Community College from 2014 to 2015, earning an Associate of Science (A.S.) degree in Computer and Information Sciences. Finally, from 2015 to 2017, Derek obtained a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Computer Networking and Cyber Security from Champlain College.
