Laura Pantoja

Laura Pantoja is a highly experienced researcher with a robust background in marine science and biology. Currently serving as a Personal Docente Investigador at the University of Granada since March 2021, Laura specializes in cell culture, compound isolation, cytotoxicity, Western blotting, and apoptosis, along with expertise in oxidative stress, immunology, animal welfare, and biochemistry of nutrition. Prior roles include postdoctoral and project researcher positions at the same institution and a predoctoral researcher role at Instituto Politécnico Nacional, where Laura focused on ecotoxicology and marine ecology. Earlier experience includes research at the National Aquarium of Cuba and the Centro de Neurociencias de Cuba, emphasizing systematics, trophic ecology, and bacterial molecular techniques. Educational credentials include a PhD in Marine Science from Instituto Politécnico Nacional, a Master of Science in Marine Biology and Aquaculture from the University of Havana, and a Bachelor's degree in Biology from the same university.
