Carlos Leonardo

Carlos Leonardo serves as the Director of the National Cyber Incident Response Team (CSIRT-RD) since November 2018, where responsibilities include leading cybersecurity incident response efforts. Recently appointed as a member of the FIRST Board of Directors and serving as the National Technical Point of Contact for the United Nations Open-Ended Working Group on responsible ICT use in cyberspace, Carlos also holds a position as a Subject Matter Expert with EU CyberNet. With a strong academic background in systems engineering and cybersecurity, Carlos has previously held roles in higher education, banking, and governmental cybersecurity advisory positions. Continuing to contribute to the field, Carlos is also involved in promoting cybersecurity education as a Master’s instructor and conducting digital forensic investigations.
