Luis Ortiz

Luis Ortiz is the current CEO at CENTROS SOR ISOLINA FERRE INC. Luis was previously the Executive Director/ Deputy Exec Director at Puerto Rico Industrial Development Company from January 2013 to December 2016. Luis was appointed by Governor to work “hand to hand” in establishing the new vision, develop the organizational culture and establish effective management and operational processes to ensure a fast track of goal achievement. Luis's core duties include overseeing the areas of Business Development, Marketing and Promotions, Legal Advisory and Regulatory, Communications, Real State, among other key areas. Luis serves as a facilitator to a team of 7 direct reports (Directors) and colleagues to ensure the elimination of uncertainty levels produced by actual changes. Luis accelerates the integration of all departments, in order increase productivity, commitment level, as well as the required winning behaviors across the board.

Ortiz became a Business Strategist at Opp Strat Act in January 2017 and held that position until January 2019. Prior to that, they were the Sales & Marketing Vice President at Gil Pharmaceutical from February 2011 to September 2012.

Luis Ortiz's educational career began with a BS in science from Universidad de Puerto Rico, where they graduated magna cum laude. Luis then pursued medical studies at CETEC School of Medicine before earning a Juris Doctor cum laude from Pontifical Catholic University of Puerto Rico, School of Law.
