Nicole S. Thunich

SVP, Chief Safety, Health, Environmental & Quality Officer at Centuri Construction Group

Nicole is Senior Vice President, Chief Safety, Health, Environmental and Quality Officer for Centuri Group, Inc. She oversees the development and implementation of an enterprise-wide safety, health, quality, and environmental strategy across all Centuri Group business units.

In her position, Nicole is focused on developing a common integrated management system framework across all business units. In 2022, Nicole was named as one of the Top Women in Safety by American Occupational Safety.

Nicole joined Centuri as Vice President, Safety and Quality in September 2017. This was a dual role with her Vice President, Safety, Quality, and Risk position at Centuri’s subsidiary NPL Canada Ltd. At NPL Canada, Nicole was responsible for consolidating safety resources across operating companies to leverage synergies in the continued strengthening of the health and safety management system. Nicole was promoted to Senior Vice President, Safety and Quality for Centuri in 2018. Before joining NPL Canada and Centuri, Nicole held leadership roles building risk management and health and safety roadmaps for performance improvement and safety culture development at several organizations, including PepsiCo, Armtec Infrastructure Inc., and most recently Progressive Waste Solutions.

Nicole received a Bachelor of Social Sciences degree from Ottawa University. She serves on the Delegates Committee of the Board of Directors for National Safety Council and is a member of the Executive Forum for American Society of Safety Professionals (ASSP). She currently holds a Canadian Risk Management Designation from the Global Risk Management Institute.
