Richard J. Delaney

Rick is Executive Vice President, Operations Support for Centuri Group, Inc. In this position, Rick is responsible for overall operations support, with an emphasis on safety and enterprise excellence.

Rick has over 38 years of industry experience. Prior to his current position, which he assumed after announcing his plan to retire in 2022, Rick was Centuri’s first Chief Operating Officer. Before that, he held the position of President for NPL Canada Ltd., with responsibilities including oversight of Centuri’s Canadian operating companies NPL Canada and W.S. Nicholls. Prior to joining NPL Canada and the Centuri team, Rick held a wide range of roles of increasing responsibility at Aecon Utilities, a global construction firm providing services to a wide array of industries, beginning in 1984.

Rick is involved with several industry associations. He is a member of the Gas Advisory Council of Ontario’s Technical Standards & Safety Authority, and he was a Director of the Ontario Energy Association. He is also a Trustee of the Operating Engineers Training Institute of Ontario, and a Trustee of the Laborers Local 183 Benefit Fund, the largest Laborers Local Union in North America. Additionally, Rick served as a Director and President of the Utility Contractors’ Association of Ontario, a Director of the Pipe Line Contractors Association of Canada, and a member of the Labour Committees of both of those associations.
