Henk de Coning

Henk de Coning is an experienced plant manager currently serving at Century Aluminum since December 2017. Prior to this role, Henk held several key positions at Alcoa from October 2008 to November 2017, including Ingot Plant Manager overseeing the largest casting facility for slab ingot production, Regional Lead for Operational Excellence in North America, and Manufacturing & Casting Plant Manager at Massena West. Henk’s early career includes a tenure as Reduction Manager at BHP from June 1996 to September 2008. Henk holds a degree in Chemical Engineering from the University of Pretoria and completed a Management Development Program at the University of South Africa.
