Stephen Thomas

Stephen Thomas serves as the Corporate Energy Director at Century Aluminum since March 2024. Prior experience includes holding the position of Director of Energy Procurement at Domtar from June 2012 to March 2024, where responsibilities encompassed developing energy supply strategies for multiple facilities and marketing renewable energy credits. Stephen has also contributed to public policy through advisory roles with the South Carolina Department of Natural Resources. Previous roles include senior management and strategic planning positions at Central Electric Power Cooperative and Duke Energy, where significant energy contracts and innovative technology implementations were achieved. Stephen holds an MBA and a Master of Engineering degree, complemented by undergraduate studies in Electrical and Computer Engineering.
