Charlie Detruit has a long and diverse work experience in the printing and manufacturing industry. Charlie started their career at Case-Hoyt Corporation where they initially worked as the Materials & Quality Control Manager and later became the Operations Manager. Charlie then moved to W.M. Brown & Son as a Production Planner, where they focused on customer relations, quality control, and production planning. Charlie then joined Cadmus Color Center as the Director of Customer Service, overseeing daily communications between clients, sales representatives, and manufacturing department supervisors. Charlie then transitioned to Cadmus Communications, where they held several roles, including Sr. Application Support Specialist, Sr. Workflow Engineer, Operations Manager, and finally, Director of Production Technology. In these roles, they were responsible for managing teams, implementing hardware and software solutions, coordinating offshore manufacturing capabilities, and optimizing workflows. Charlie's most recent position was as the Regional Director of Production Technology at Cenveo, where they were responsible for managing digital production infrastructures across multiple sites, procuring hardware and software, and overseeing multiple projects and cost-saving initiatives.

From 1982 to 1986, Charlie Detruit attended the Rochester Institute of Technology, where they earned a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Printing Management and Technology.
