Pragna Elizabeth Upputuri is a Systems Integration Engineer II at Cepheid since May 2022, previously serving in various engineering roles and internships. At the University of Pennsylvania from September 2021 to December 2022, Pragna worked as a Student Lab Assistant, focusing on enhancing student experiments in 3D printing, electronics, and molecular biology. Prior experience includes research internships at Purdue University and Stanford University School of Medicine, where Pragna contributed to projects related to Parkinson’s disease and cell culture techniques. As the President of Purdue MIND, Pragna led multiple projects, including the development of a transmetatarsal foot amputation prosthetic and a mechanical ventilator in response to COVID-19. Pragna holds a Master's degree in Bioengineering from the University of Pennsylvania and a Bachelor's degree in Biomedical Engineering from Purdue University, alongside a Certificate in Entrepreneurship and Innovation.
