David Jacks

David Jacks currently serves as the Director (Dean) of the Division of Social Sciences at Yale-NUS College and holds the position of J.Y. Pillay Professor of Social Sciences at the National University of Singapore. In addition, Jacks is a Research Fellow at the Centre for Economic Policy Research and previously worked as a Research Associate at the National Bureau of Economic Research. With a long-standing academic career at Simon Fraser University as a Professor, Jacks has a robust background in economics, having earned a Ph.D. in Economics from the University of California, Davis, and an M.Sc. in Economic History from The London School of Economics and Political Science.
