Laurent Calvet

Laurent Calvet currently serves as Professor of Finance at SKEMA Business School and holds the position of Vice President Elect at the European Finance Association. Additionally, Calvet is a member of the Advisory Scientific Committee for the European Systemic Risk Board and a Research Fellow at the Centre for Economic Policy Research, where Calvet is also a founding member of the Household Finance Network. Prior roles include being a Fellow at the Center for Financial Studies at Goethe University and a Chaired Professor of Finance at EDHEC Business School. Calvet's distinguished academic career features positions at HEC Paris, Ecole Polytechnique, Imperial College London, and Harvard University. Educational credentials include a Ph.D. in Economics from Yale University and engineering degrees from École nationale des ponts et chaussées and École Polytechnique.
