Nagendra Kumar Lavu

Nagendra Kumar Lavu started their career as a Lead Engineer at Motorola in 2004 and later became a Product Manager. Nagendra Kumar joined Verizon Wireless in 2011 as a Senior Product Manager, focusing on Location-Based Services and Ads. From 2012 to 2016, they worked at YP, where they held various roles such as Senior Product Manager, Principal Product Manager, and Director of Product Management for the Ad Platform and Search. In 2017, Lavu joined Amazon Lab126 as the Head of Product for Search, AI/ML, and Maps for Amazon Smart Vehicles. Nagendra Kumar later became the Head of Product for Mobility and AI/ML for Alexa, overseeing product strategy and global expansion. In 2023, Lavu joined Cerence Inc. as the VP and GM of Generative AI.

Nagendra Kumar Lavu holds a B.Tech in Computer Science and Engineering from the International Institute of Information Technology Hyderabad (IIITH), which they completed in 2002. In 2004, they obtained an M.S Research degree in Computer Science and Engineering from the same institution. In 2012, Nagendra attended the MIT Sloan Executive Education program, where they acquired knowledge in Technology and Product Strategy.
