Robbie Barbero

Robbie Barbero is a seasoned professional in the field of biotechnology and national security policy, currently serving as a Senior Fellow at Renaissance Philanthropy since June 2025. Robbie has extensive experience as a Board Advisor and Chief Business Officer at Ceres Nanosciences, Inc., focusing on business growth and technology commercialization. Additionally, Robbie is a member of the Board of Directors at Cultivarium, an Advisory Board Chair for the National Science Policy Network, and a Fellow at the Truman National Security Project. Previously, Robbie held key roles at the White House Office of Science and Technology Policy, where policies were developed for significant life science initiatives. Robbie's educational background includes a Ph.D. in Biological Engineering from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and a Bachelor’s in Biochemical Engineering from Dartmouth College.
