Chandra MacAuley

Chandra Macauley, PhD, is a Senior Scientist at Ceres since August 2021, leading a team focused on enhancing the performance and cost-effectiveness of solid oxide electrolyser cells (SOECs) for green hydrogen production. Prior experience includes serving as a Senior Scientist at the University of Erlangen-Nuremberg, where Chandra led research teams and taught fracture mechanics, and as a Postdoctoral Researcher, spearheading a collaboration with Siemens on electrocatalysts for electrolyzers. Education credentials include a PhD in Materials from UC Santa Barbara and a Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering from Montana State University. Chandra's extensive research background features significant involvement in fuel cells, ceramics, and advanced materials, resulting in numerous publications and presentations across various scientific forums.
